The Lodge

The Bubble Lodge at Bois Cheri is located on a historic tea plantation in the central highlands of Mauritius, and a short drive from the wild South Coast. This unique eco-accommodation consists of a self-contained transparent bubble-styled room set-up in the spectacular natural environment with luxury amenities and services to ensure you have a relaxing and peaceful vacation.

The Bubble Lodge at Bois Cheri offers individual ‘rooms’ within transparent bubble structures that provide great views over the magnificent lake on the tea estate during the day and allow guests to sleep under the stars at night. Each ‘room’ is composed of several bubbles that provide a dining space with a coffee machine and kettle, a private bathroom with a shower, and comfortable sleeping quarters with a queen sized bed, air-conditioning and a sun terrace.

The Bubble Lodge at Bois Cheri offers all the amenities and services you need to make your eco-vacation relaxing and enjoyable. Guests will find tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water in their ‘rooms’ and can enjoy a private breakfast and gourmet dinner at the Bois Cheri restaurant with the services of a dedicated waiter, and there is also a bar on the estate where guests can relax and soak up the ambiance. There is also a gift shop on the estate, 24-hour security and daily housekeeping services.

There are several activities to enjoy on the tea estate including hiking or cycling through the Domaine, fishing, pedal-boating, canoeing and quad biking for a fee. Guests can also take a tour of the tea factory and museum and enjoy a tea tasting.

The Bubble Lodge at Bois Cheri is found on the historic tea plantation in the central highlands of Mauritius, less than 30 minutes away from the wild South Coast. The tea estate is part of the famous tea route of Mauritius and The sacred crater lake of Grand Bassin and the Anguilles River is 5 km away, and the Black River Gorges Mountain is 10 km away, a great place for hiking. The lodge is 16 km and around a 30 minute car drive from the International Airport.
